Data Analyst (Re-Advertised)

This position is primarily responsible for pursuing a data strategy that will enable TLTB to sufficiently manage risk.  Specifically, the position involves driving development and redesign of critical data platforms and tools, as well as identifying and remedying data anomalies that appear throughout risk systems at TLTB. 
Job description:      Key Outcomes include:
  • Profile data across sources identified in lineage analysis to thoroughly understand the quality, anomalies and patterns.
  • Root cause analysis supported through research of data anomalies across sources.
  • Expert in the Data Risk Management Information Domain ensured.
  • Other Data Stewards supported by developing base line competencies.
  • Data quality reporting processes established and analyze data quality reports to identify potential anomalies across multiple data sources.
  • The definition of business requirements related to data initiatives supported for multiple Information Domains.
  • Functional design specification documents reviewed for fit to these requirements.
  • Documentation of lineage and management of business and technical metadata maintained.
  • Data dictionary be developed and maintained.
  • Be a point of contact for risk data warehouse activities, including business requirements gathering, data modeling, data documentation, user acceptance testing, ad-hoc queries and data challenges.
  • Consolidation of redundant data sources identified, planned and managed to establish centralized golden copy source data.
  • Assumptions, risks, issues, and dependencies managed.
  • Participate in pre and post-release testing to validate requirements have been met.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. 3 years of highly relevant experience.
Location: The position will be based at the Head Office in Suva.
Compensation: Salary/Employment Condition:

Grade 7 of the TLTB salary scale on a 3-year contract.
