Geospatial Developer Analyst (RE-ADVERTISED)

The Geospatial Developer Analyst develops, tests, and maintains modular software programs and tools, develops scalable solutions to collect, store, analyze, and visualize geospatial data to meet business needs and analyzes customer issues and provides resolutions.
Job description: Key Outcomes include:
  • Develop GIS applications that integrate with TLTB database management system to improve current Lease Application process.
  • Develop web-mapping applications to enhance planning and geospatial analysis (Strava Heat Map, Geo tracking pricing mechanism, urbanisation, demography, utilities, accessibility, etc).
  • In measuring TLTB core business outcomes and its alignment to the National Development Plan and SDGs, analyze republic, regional, provincial districts, LOU geospatial data and provide reports to the Geospatial Coordinator.
  • Maps and plans associated with the applications and other processes are prepared in accordance with agreed client service standards.
  • Geospatial app and method development to facilitate the mapping of specific datasets like coastal degradation, inundation and flood maps, terrain, time lapse analysis, urbanization, demography, utilities and sales comparison.
  • Research and test the accuracy and quality of new geospatial data and provide timely report to the Geospatial Coordinator.
  • Innovative ways in the movement of TLTB GIS from segregation to integration ensured.
  • Maintain and support application development according to changing business requirements.
Minimum Qualification and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Geospatial Science in the Developer Stream and/or Information Technology/Information Systems, Computer Science. 3-5 years geospatial application programming experience or similar related technical work.
Location: The position will be based at the Head Office in Suva.
Compensation: Salary/Employment Condition:

Grade 6 of the TLTB salary scale on a 3-year contract.
